This glossary explains the main product terms used in ProjectDesk.

Activity

A specific piece of work inside a project. Evidence is submitted against activities.

Active Client Workspace

The organization currently selected in the Organizations panel.

Auditor Viewer

A restricted role for users who need to inspect records for compliance or assurance.

Client Project

The main body of work being coordinated in a workspace.

Client Workspace

The workspace for an organization, program, or operating environment.

Donor Viewer

A restricted role for external stakeholders who need visibility into progress and reporting records.

Evidence

A submission that supports field activity. Evidence can include a file reference, link, note, or imported data row.

Evidence Review Queue

The list of submitted evidence waiting for a review decision.

Field Data Import

A CSV import tool for bringing external field rows into the workspace.

Field Location

A district, site, facility, region, or other field area where project activity happens.

Field Staff

Users who submit field evidence.

Field Supervisor

Users who coordinate field execution and support field teams.

HQ Manager

Users who manage project execution and workspace progress.

Indicator

A measurable value used to track progress.

MEL Lead

Users responsible for monitoring, evaluation, learning, data quality, indicators, and reporting support.

Managed Services

The support workflow that connects a client workspace to the ProjectDesk services team.

Organization

The client, program, or operating organization represented by a workspace.

Organization Owner

The lead client-side role for a workspace.

Pilot Workspace

A realistic sample workspace used for training, demonstration, and internal orientation.

Platform Administrator

A global ProjectDesk role that can create workspaces and manage setup.

ProjectDesk Services

Internal users who support workspace operations, service cases, and data quality workflows.

Report

A structured record used to prepare stakeholder, management, donor, or audit summaries.

Risk

An issue that could affect project progress, quality, timing, or stakeholder confidence.

Service Case

A managed support request routed to the ProjectDesk services team.

Stakeholder Update

A concise progress note intended for authorized stakeholders.

Workstream

A major category of project activity, such as survey work, facility assessment, training follow-up, or data review.
